Film still from The Girl Who Fell in Love with the Mangroves

The Girl Who Fell in Love with the Mangroves is a short film by French artist Geraldine Chansard and filmmaker Pauline Dupin. Created around Geraldine Chansard’s sculpture Woman from the Mangroves, the film was produced for screening at the Mangroves from the Water exhibition after difficulties in transporting the sculpture from the United Arab Emirates to Australia. It was first screened during the Mangroves from the Water exhibition at Gordon Gallery, Geelong, Australia, 14 August – 21 August 2021.

For more information about the exhibition and the participating artists, please see the Mangroves from the Water exhibition catalogue: Mangroves from the Water Exhibition Catalogue (Gordon Gallery, August 2021)
